Chronic Muscle or nerve disorders giving rise to disability. Age
range (16-60 years)
When to Refer
After a definite diagnosis has been made (neurological or specialist
referral) and the problems are ones of disability management.
Investigations Before Referral
Various: to confirm diagnosis - therefore previous neurological
referral usually required.
First Line Management
Explanation of expectations from referral to patient/carer.
